POLICY 1: Teams
Team numbers: Indoor Cricket, Monday Female (6 or 8 players) Tuesday – Thurs, Men’s and Mixed (8 players) Indoor Netball (6 with 3 subs)
POLICY 2: The Game
Game duration Cricket approx. 80 mins / Netball approx. 35 mins
POLICY 3: Officials
Nitro Arena appoints officials. All decisions are final.
POLICY 4: Forfeits
No reschedules once competitions commence. A forfeit incurs a fee equal to ¾ game fee and loss of competition points.
POLICY 5: Game Fees
Cricket $15 per game. $10 per game for junior competitions. Netball is $12 per game for all players. Full game fees are payable weekly regardless of player numbers. Teams cannot take the court without payment or without prior agreement.
Teams who are not up to date with payments will be deducted 2 competition points per week.
POLICY 6: Registration Fees
Cricket/ Netball $35 per player per year senior. $25 per player junior U16. Four qualifying games required for finals eligibility. Late starts to roster will vary this eligibility. Registration is due after 2 games by all players.
POLICY 7: Uniforms
Matching shirts are not essential but do account for bonus points if all team are fully attired in team shirts. Appropriate sports attire and footwear are required. Shorts are allowed except for Rep or State competitions.
POLICY 8: Finals
Outstanding fees render teams ineligible for finals. Players who are not registered will be also ineligible to play in the finals.
POLICY 9: Fill-In Players
General “fill in” players are not expected to pay game fee but is responsibility of team captain.
POLICY 10: Re-Grading Teams
Teams may be re-graded at management’s discretion. Teams will be given options and not just moved; there will be a discussion initially to suit their ability levels.
POLICY 11: Safety/Insurance As all the sports we offer are active in nature with moving equipment and participants - players need to be aware that injuries may occur and players play at their own risk. Please note that there is no personal accident insurance.
POLICY 12: Behaviour /Respect
Unsportsmanlike behaviour may result in dismissal from the court or competition or impose an on-court penalty of minus runs. Umpire abuse or any equipment abuse including nets, turf or stumps will incur penalties also depending on the severity. Players continuing to play aggressively or abuse officials, players and or equipment on court or from sidelines making others intimidated will be sanctioned and suspended or removed. Teams displaying abusive or unsportsmanlike behaviours on a regular basis will be removed from all activities at Nitro Arena
POLICY 13: Lateness of players
In the event of a team being short at game start they will be given the option to bat first in indoor cricket and both teams to play short until players arrive in netball.
POLICY 14: Competition Points
Points vary depending on Division and competition type so check this prior to competition starting with administration. Points are awarded for Win/Loss/Draw---Tie/same shirts/runs scored and points are taken for forfeit and game called off or fee lateness for games.
